Subject           :           FIRE SAFETY PRECAUTION
We would like to remind the community of the following safety precautions implemented in the property to ensure prevention of fire;
Safety Precautions in Unit and Common Areas
  • Residents must equip their unit with at least one (1) unit of 10lbs fire extinguisher.
  • Be familiar with the location of the nearest fire alarm pull station or the nearest fire hose cabinet to your unit.
  • All entrances, exits, elevator, stairways, lobbies, hallways, sidewalks, driveways, parking spaces or any part of the common areas should be free from obstruction at all times.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited at the fire exit, elevators, stairways, lobbies, hallways, balconies, equipment room and roof deck.
  • “Fire Hazard” (i.e., toxic, combustible, flammable, explosive substances) materials and deadly weapons are not allowed in any unit or common areas.
  • Property management shall conduct quarterly fire safety inspection inside and outside the unit on the common fire protection system i.e., smoke detectors, sprinkler head.
  • There shall be no tampering of fire protection devices (sprinkler, fire alarm, smoke detector, fire hose cabinet, etc.) inside the unit or common areas.
  • LPG tanks should be properly attended. Maintain close when not in use.
  • Octopus electrical connections are strictly prohibited. Defective electrical wiring and equipment must not be used and should be replaced immediately.
  • Avoid keeping things that will increase the rate of insurance or might result in the cancellation of the insurance in any unit or common area.

     

    During Renovation

    • As a safety precaution, one (1) unit of 20-lbs fire extinguisher should be provided by the unit owner for every 11.40m radius of his unit for the duration of the construction.
    • Obstruction of construction materials outside the unit and in other common areas of the building is strictly prohibited.
    • Smoking is strictly prohibited within the construction site and premises. (Contractors) cooking is strictly prohibited within the building or in the construction site.
    • Water supply and distribution facilities for firefighting purposes should be provided and maintained in the construction site in accordance with the Local Fire Code.

     

    Evacuation

    • Upon hearing the continuous alarm signal, indicating fire or general emergency requiring evacuation, gather vital personal effects and listen to the instructions of the Property Management Office / Fire Marshall.
    • Gather your relatives, guest, and their companions and ensure no one will be left behind during the evacuation
    • If the situation would allow, turn-off your main circuit breaker, secure your valuables and close your unit (without locking the door) on your way towards the nearest exit
    • If you come across someone that requires special needs, call for necessary assistance through evacuation coordinator or Property Manager
    • Calmly proceed to the designated ASSEMBLY AREA until further notice from Evacuation Coordinator or Property Management Office. For fire, the designated assembly area is along 40th St. across our property.
